Get tested for Sucrose Intolerance

Sucrose intolerance can look like one of a dozen other digestive disorders, including lactose intolerance or IBS, so it can be tough to diagnose. Our breath testing options are non-invasive and can help determine whether your gas, bloating, stomach cramps, and anxiety are at least partly due to sucrose intolerance.

Our Sucrose Intolerance Testing Process

1

Register or order

Schedule your test online and complete a brief registration form. Alternatively, order a test for home use.

2

Prepare

This test requires the patient to take nothing by mouth (NPO) for 12 hours, avoidance of certain foods for 24 hours, and no smoking for at least an hour.

3

Get tested

Commit at least three hours for your test. If you test at home, make sure to follow the instructions carefully, as it can affect the accuracy of the test.

4

Get results

Get results the same day for in-office visits or within a day after your test has been received for at-home tests.

Your digestive issues may not be limited to sucrose intolerance even if you test positive. Talk to your care provider about additional testing options.

Frequently Asked Questions

Breath tests can have false negative results in certain situations, from 5% to 12% of the time. However, the breath test is considerably more accurate than blood tests.
Consider cutting down on sweets or eliminating them entirely and discuss next steps with your primary care physician.

If you are sensitive to sweets, are prone to low blood sugar incidents, or you have been diagnosed with leaky gut symptoms or an inflammatory bowel disease like Crohn’s or Ulcerative Colitis, this test is ideal for you.

We also provide best-in-class COVID testing, 4-Plex (COVID, RSV, Flu A/B) testing, SIBO testing, lactose intolerance testing, and more.
